Year 5 at the Shri Venkateswara (Balaji) Temple

January 2014

Throughout January, Year 5 children, in small groups, visited the Hindu temple in Tividale, which is the largest Hindu temple of its kind in Europe.

During our visits, children were able to ask questions about the religion of Hinduism and were given a detailed tour around the temple and its many shrines from some of its very knowledgeable volunteers.

All children were impeccably behaved and showed the utmost respect for worshipping devotees when inside the shrines.

Children enjoyed the experience and learnt the importance of developing an awareness and understanding of different religions.
