Year 5 Visit Worcester Cathedral

December 2008

At the beginning of December, Year 5 visited Worcester Cathedral. The visit was generously funded by Quarry Bank Educational Trust and was a wonderful opportunity to experience the atmosphere in a major Christian place of worship.

In the morning we were given a guided tour of the cathedral, discovering signs and symbols of the Christian faith.

In the afternoon we were lucky enough to be involved in two workshops. The first was making prayer stones using the symbols we had seen in the Cathedral. The second was drama based and we created living stained glass windows telling the story of Saint Wulstan's life. St Wulstan was the person who founded the Cathedral.

We all had a very enjoyable day and learnt a lot about the cathedral and the Christian faith.
